I am a detail-oriented and deadline-driven communications professional with a proven ability to consistently produce effective international communications that engage target groups and accomplish a wide range of corporate objectives.

In addition to being a native speaker of the English language and a keen student of its literature, my formal education includes both copywriting at the AAA School of Advertising and communications at the University of South Africa. I bring a full 13 years of professional content writing and editing experience to the table, primarily as an independent contractor working on long-term collaborations with a few principal clients.

Over the years, my clients have included advertising and marketing agencies, public relations firms, digital media outlets, publishing houses and companies spanning industries as diverse as finance, technology, entertainment, tourism and healthcare. What’s more, working as an independent contractor for well over a decade, I have developed exceptional time-management and organisational skills and demonstrated an ability to collaborate and forge lasting relationships in multicultural environments.

Off The Pitch, a digital media outlet providing news and in-depth analyses of football finance. I was responsible for producing articles and reviewing all content before publication. In addition to correcting basics like spelling, punctuation, grammar, diction (word choice) and syntax (sentence structure), I was tasked with fact-checking as well as identifying and correcting any omissions, inconsistencies and conflicting statements.

Publico Kommunikation, a public relations firm representing some of the biggest companies in Denmark. I worked as a full-service editor tasked with making structural and stylistic revisions to optimise a wide range of content. Over a period of three years from 2019 to 2021, I worked on assignments for Deloitte, e-Boks, Louis Nielsen, NNIT, Icotera, Aquaporin, Cadesign and many others.

VikingGenetics, a Denmark-based provider of science-backed genetic products and solutions that enable farmers around the world to produce healthy, sustainable herds. I was appointed as editor of Innovative Breeding, their biannual magazine distributed to a global network of industry professionals. I conducted interviews, reviewed research, produced articles and edited all content prior to publication.

I worked as their primary copywriter for over half a decade and was responsible for crafting copy for major national campaigns for brands like Capitec Bank, Sure Travel, CapeNature, Distell, Three Ships Whisky, and most notably, BP – one of the world’s largest companies.

Metropolitan, one of the major long-term insurance companies in South Africa providing a wide range of financial services. I was appointed as a feature writer and copy editor on MetroTalk, the company’s in-house magazine for financial advisors. I started in 2013 and worked on every issue for the next five years up until my move to Denmark.

Ocean Rock Media, publisher of Encounter Africa, a leading B2B directory for sustainable tourism in Africa with a global circulation of 50,000 and a readership estimated to be several times that number.
